Madison Avenue Baptist Church

At Madison Avenue, we have
many ministries for all walks
of life.  We have something
for every age and family
situation.  There are
programs going on
throughout the week as well
as the weekend.
Sunday Ministries
-Sunday School- 9:30 a.m.
  • Children's Ministry (nursery, 2's&3's, 4's&5's, primary church
    (1st-6th grades), youth group (7th-high school),
    singles/college, young married couples, couples class,
    Pastors class).
-Sunday Service- 10:45 a.m.
  • All are invited to attend the morning service.  Their are also
    children's programs going on for every age group.  Those
    who are a part of the youth group attend the regular service
    at this time.
-Spanish
  • The Spanish hold their Sunday service at 9:00 a.m.
  • After this they have their Sunday School time in the
    gymnasium and downstairs at 10:45 a.m.
-Deaf/Hearing Impaired Ministries
  • We offer a Sunday School class for the hearing impaired.
  • The 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning service is interpreted.
-Sunday Evening
  • On Sunday evening, both the Spanish and English meet
    together in the service at 5:00 p.m.
-Arabic
  • The Arabic Church begins their service and programs at    
    12:30 p.m.
-Korean
  • The Korean Church begins their Sunday School at 1:00 and
    their service at 2:00
Monday
-Visitation
  • Every Monday evening, members from our church meet up
    and go on visitation.  They meet up with members who can
    no longer make it out to Church, to those who have
    expressed interest in the Church, and to those who have
    been requested to be visited by family and friends.
Tuesday
-Women's Missionary Fellowship
  • On the third Tuesday of every month, the ladies in the
    church meet together for a time of encouragement and
    ministry to our missionaries around the globe.  Many times, a
    visiting missionary will speak.  They also do special projects
    for our missionaries.
Wednesday Ministries
-Youth- 5:30 p.m.
  • Those involved with the youth meet in the gymnasium to eat
    and then split up for their different ministries.
  • The ministries you child can get involved in are, puppets and
    girls choir.  There are also many who stay and help out in
    other ways.
-Singles/Young Married Couples- 7:00 p.m.
  • The singles and Young Married Couples class meeting
    together downstairs for a time of worship and then split up to
    their respective classes.  
-Patch the Pirate and Pee Wee Patch
  • Children meet together every Wednesday to go over songs,
    verses and have story time.  The 1st through 6th grades
    meet together for Patch the Pirate club while the 4's and 5's
    meet for Pee Wee Patch.
  • Once a month, those in Patch the Pirate sing in the Sunday
    evening service.
-Spanish
  • The Spanish hold their Wednesday service in the
    gymnasium at 7:00 p.m.
-Prayer Meeting
  • All other adults or visitor are welcome to come to the prayer
    meeting, which is held in the sanctuary.  There is a time of
    reflection in God's Word, followed by a time of prayer with
    fellow believers.
Thursday
-AIM Bible Institute
  • On Thursday's throughout the year we have a Bible Institute
    for those interested in learning more from the scriptures.
  • They meet at 6:30 for classes.  Please call or ask if you wish
    to find out more information.
Saturday
-Nursing Home
  • Usually one Saturday out of every month is dedicated to
    visiting the nursing home.  
  • This program is run by the youth group and its leaders.
-Literature Distribution
  • Every third Saturday of every month is literature distribution
    around the city of Paterson.  They pass out information
    about the Church and sections of scripture for reading.
  • This program is headed up by Rich Brunner.  It is his desire
    to reach every home in the city of Paterson.  
Other Ministries
-Counseling
  • We offer one on one counseling for a variety of different
    needs.  Please inquire about what type of counseling you
    may need so that we can meet your need in the best way
    possible.
-Discipleship
  • We offer a discipleship program for those who are longing
    to know more about the scriptures.  Many of our teens and
    new Christians are involved with discipleship but it is
    welcome to all.
-Bible Studies
  • Many in our Church hold Bible studies in their homes or at
    the Church.  Check the bulletin or call to find out what Bible
    studies are currently taking place so you can get involved.
-Other Ministries/Activities
  • There are many other ministries and activities that are
    going on all year around.  Some are not on a consistent
    month to month or week to week basis but there is always
    something to do.  Keep appraised of what is going on in the
    church by viewing the website or checking the calendar and
    bulletin.
