We Believe

"...but these are written so that you maybelieve that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." John 20:31

The Gospel -- the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins --  is the central belief of our church. It's simple enough for a child to understand, but even so, Peter wrote that, "even angels long to look into these things." Below are some of our core beliefs.

We believe Jesus’ command is this: Love each other as he has loved us. John 15:12; 15:17

We believe that God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

We believe we have been saved by grace through faith. And this is not our own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe that by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16

We believe that we should not neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some, but that we should encourage one another, and all the more as we see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:25
